We are developing Collective Tuning Center to enable collaborative, community-driven R&D of intelligent self-tuning computing systems:
- Develop open-source research tools with common API to enable collaborative and replicable R&D and avoid duplicate developments
- Gather various design and optimization cases from the community using common collaborative tools to enable systematization and reuse of optimization knowledge and replicability of results
- Automate and accelerate design, verification, optimization and benchmarking of computing systems based on collective software and hardware tuning to enable knowledge reuse with statistical and machine learning techniques
We hope that this collaborative website will help to automate and simplify the process of developing and optimizing new architectures, compilers, operating systems and programming environments using machine learning, dynamic adaptation and bio-inspired techniques.
We believe that these approaches are critical to overcome the complexity of computing systems and improve their performance, power consumption, system size and fault-tolerance automatically while reducing their cost and time to market.
We hope that these techniques will boost innovation in science and industries (bioinformatics, medicine, physics, chemistry, finances, gaming, etc) that demand ever-increasing computing resources while placing strict requirements on systems.
